Board of Directors Role and Responsibilities

As a member of The Village Development Center Board of Directors I am excited to serve this great cause in Union County. Knowing the importance of developing healthy children, families and communities I am committed to providing my suggestions, expertise and experience in helping this program succeed and produce healthy results.
 

As a board member I commit to:
1. Attending monthly staff meetings (We have 11 per year year) (Every First Thursday at 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. A phone conference line will be provided for those persons who cannot attend physically)
2. Provide community resources that will help expand TVDC.
3. Hold the administrative staff accountable of their duties and responsibilities.
4. Selecting, appointing, supporting and reviewing the performance of the chief executive.
5. Setting the salaries and compensation of company management.
6. Provide a yearly contribution to TVDC.
7. Work together in unity and cohesiveness
8. Always adhere to confidentiality as it pertains to the youth and families that we serve.
9. Volunteer when needed.
